Combining reclaimed wine barrel pieces, we’ve created this unique display and serving shelf for your counter or tabletop.  Whether it’s for your prized curios, collectibles, spices or dessert pastries, these shelf units are one of a kind show-stoppers.  The vertical components are staves from the wine barrels while the shelf brackets come from the tops and bottoms of the barrels.  The pictured unit has character maple shelves that are nearly an inch thick.  (Character maple has streaks of caramel color and wavy grain patterns natural to the wood)  We can use a variety of woods for the shelves, whether you like oak to match the wine barrel materials, dark walnut, maple, mahogany, or hickory.   The wine barrel elements usually have the red wine color and are treated with tung oil so that they are wipeable with a damp cloth.  The shelves can be finished with either food safe mineral oil if you anticipate that kind of use, or with tung oil for other display uses.
 
The pictured shelf unit is approximately 20”wide and 15” tall; the shelves are 7”, 5-1/2’, and 4” deep.  We can readily adjust the size bigger or smaller and can also do a 2-shelf configuration to accommodate your planned use for display and/or serving.  It’s your choice of wood for the shelves, although we encourage maple and mahogany for serving foods.  Just email us and we will create a sketch and a price quote for you for free!
