Handmade, solid wood 2-step stool.  The steps are approximately 1" thick; the various base parts are 1.5" x 1.5" square.   The knot on the lower step has been filled with epoxy.  These stools are very popular to use in kitchens/pantries to reach upper shelves in taller cabinets.  We will be HAPPY TO SEND additional pictures of any pictured stool so that you can see more details on the beautiful grains and finishes--just send us an email!
Different species of wood steps can be combined with contrasting base wood species and paint colors to allow you to complement or match other furniture/cabinetry.  Please send an email so that we can jointly determine what combination of wood steps and base color you might want.  The build time for a custom stool is usually 7-10 days, depending on what other projects are underway in our one-person woodshed.
This design of stool is very strong which causes it to weigh about 20 lbs (depending on the species of wood you select).  At 20” wide, it may accommodate two adults (our unscientific testing supported weights well over 300#).  Please note that shipping costs are set by the selected carrier (USPS or UPS, for example) and we are essentially shipping a small piece of furniture.  If you are interested in one of these stools, we will work with you to try to reduce shipping costs.
